Really nice job. Great play on the poster.

It’d be great if the real Oscars had nice little pointy ears like that so some disgruntled washed up old celebutard could take their supporting actor trophy off the shelf and impale their drunken shrew of a trophy wife with it… oh the irony. Did Gary Busey ever win anything?

Just an FYI, I was the first to do the whole ‘Ocscar statue gets Jokerized’ gimmick.

Mine was a super quick Photoshop job just to claim being first. I thought these would pop up a lot sooner, ya know?

[...] This was from an older Oscar poster, didn’t really do much to it, just added some ears and did a bit of Joker scribble. This got featured on Dark Campaign. [...]

The Dark Knight is a cinematic milestone, the likes of which has not been seen since Schindler’s List.
It’s more than a movie, it’s a chilling portrayal of the paranoia that plagues our very souls.

Although this “may have been done before”, it is in my mind completely original and far surpasses what preceded. Well done, well thought and great play on the existing text. Its all in the eyes of the Oscar.

Really quite amazing. Clever, yet totally appropriate. It’s different than the other warner bros. posters, but it conveys and idea they didn’t even consider.

“The Dark Knight is a cinematic milestone, the likes of which has not been seen since Schindler’s List.”
I disagree. It’s a cinematic milestone but we’ve seen others since Schindler’s List. “The Lord of the Rings” anyone? “There Will Be Blood”?

Loved the poster, very funny

I’m glad people are supporting DK for oscar bids, but it shoudl be said that the guys over at ChooseChaos.com already did this. I like their poster better. Check it out:
