DARK CAMPAIGN

A few more campaign updates…

by Blair on Dec.03, 2008, under NEWS

A few more before the end of the day today.

A few hours ago, The National Post wrote this nice little article about us saying:

An “unofficial grassroots effort” called the Dark Campaign is underway to help get The Dark Knight an Oscar for Best Picture. Who’s behind it? Presumably fans, but there’s no indication either way (Dark Campaign = DC? Clever viral campaign, perhaps?).

Good point about 1999. That was a good year for movies. And to the last point, the Post is mainstream media. So I guess anything is possible.

Buzz Feed says:

A group of devoted Batman fans have started an “unofficial grassroots effort to support The Dark Knight” for Best Picture at the Oscars. This is apparently what Obama supporters are doing with their free time and political energy now.

Sounds like they’ve got our number.

And this afternoon a supporter sent another piece of Oscar fan art our way…

And someone else even sent a VERY unusual hip hop video…

The For Your Consideration art needs to replace Best Original Score (since it was disqualified) with something else, IMO either Sound Mixing, or Make-up/Costume. Plus, it would have to be for Adapted Screenplay, not Original. Other then that, Nice Work!

Wow, this is amazing! Why not give this to the Academy since they disqualified the original score. It’s a hoot! I totally agree with Big Braveheart, WE CAN DO IT!!
